Sorry for not giving any updates within several days... Currently we are enjoying the beauty of Indonesia nature while doing the Airbus project. This is the sunset view on Uluwatu, Bali (Indonesia). Could you see those beautiful sunset and the energetic traditional "Kecak" dance? The photo was taken by Gilar. It is so beautiful ... Let's visit Indonesia :)

We are now working on the visualization of the mechanism. This is the render of our bins for storing the cabin baggage. We also design the support beam to be strong enough for the stacked bin storage. Our robots will be working above this stacked bins moving on rails. Stay tuned!

Sometimes to come out with innovative ideas and elegant solutions you need a break. A short break with fresh air is always sufficient to let your mind think better and efficiently. However, the team is always rocking, even if we are in different parts of the world. Indeed in DragON, our little break is done in different cities! Can you recognize the three of them??? :) Cheers from DragON

There are 3 country there :)

Team Nevada

Let me tell you a story! Once upon a time, there lived a pilot in Nevada who was always late home to his wife and his wife always complained about it. He was always worried and felt bad because of the whole situation. He told one of his friends about the situation and his friend introduced him to 3 young lads who promised they could help get his wife to stop complaining. They eventually built an automatic taxiing sytem and it was incorporated into his aircraft. Since that day, since all the delays that caused him to come home late had been removed, he started coming home in time and he and his wife lived happily ever after!. That's the reason why we put up that picture.:)

Hello everyone! Meet Sakib from the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering . Here is a photo of him, discussing the schematics of the PCB for the device that will help collect vital biological data of pilots, with Dhruba. He is the guy you would want to have by your side for those stressful and nerve wracking all nighters. He has also recently completed an internship with the largest telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh,Grameenphone , a subsidiary of Telenor!

That's really cool! Can you tell us a bit more about how the circuit works and what sensors you're using? We've got a couple of very curious electronic engineers :D

We are taking multi channel data input through dry flex electrodes placed in 10-20 pattern which will pass through high gain instrumental amplifiers and number high and low pass filters to provide accurate brain signals.

Do you know where our team name Putra Space come from? Putra is the name of our universiti, Universiti Putra Malaysia, which means the prince in malay language. Pretty cool huh?! Putra Space is a student platform of the Department of Aerospace Engineering. It is a chance for students to explore aerospace related research. The ongoing ones include high altitude balloon, hybrid airship uav, energy harvesting and more. And now, we are challenging ourselves for this Airbus: Fly Your Ideas 2017.

Hi there! We have some issues about the detecting smaller cracks or deformation with the help of Lidar system. Which means that in general there could be deformations with size less than the noise level of lidar system, so our scientific consultant Dr Hovhannes Sargsyan proposed to use several methods which are able to detect signals even in cases of signal to noise ratios in less than 1, such as SSA method. Using this method we can distribute main signal - model in general, some periodic additions which would be deformations, and noise of signal in every channel or in most of channels . The indicator of presence of deformations in the multisensor signal is that the same component exist in the noisy part of signal. This approach is for detection of very small components of deformation. Wait a more information about this topic.

That's so cool!!! By the way, what is this? What do you think about how to use this system? We also use laser so we'd like to know about it.

Our idea is not about only Lidar system, but and about artificial intelligence too. At this time we are exploring the detection of airframe damages with the help of LS. Our next object for exploring is base knowledges of our intelligent system. which has to give diagnosis about airframe condition, and prognosis about how many time the different parts of airframe will work without failures... If you will have any questions about using of LS in our idea you can write us www.vlad.gharibian.rai@gmail.com Kind regards team Ararat

Hi there, this is the basic structure of our robot for the automated cabin baggage delivery system. This model is done using CATIA. I am sure most of you all have heard about it. Seems to be one of the most widely used CAD software, especially in the aerospace industry. This is just a rough modelling and will be refined thoroughly for mechanism simulation later. The counter weight is important to keep the robot stable when moving its load. We hope to do simulation to optimize the structure weight. The extension pad will be extended with cables to move downward into our stacked compartment storage. There will be more to come. Stay tuned with Putra Space!
