2019 winning team ‘Zero’ Heroes were invited to present their project at a recent KLM Royal Dutch Airlines event!

Team member Niels Hokke said ‘KLM is celebrating its 100 birthday and as one of the many activities they organised a large innovation fair. We were invited because they heard about us winning the Fly Your Ideas competition.’

The event was an exceptional opportunity for the team from TU Delft, the Netherlands, to further promote their prize-winning Internet of Things idea. ‘We got our own stand and used the same posters we had at Fly Your Ideas. It was a nice opportunity for us to spread the message of the wireless and batteryless future in avionics.’

‘A lot of the people we spoke to were very interested and we got some great new contacts. We also got multiple new use-cases of how some of the KLM engineers would use our device in their work environment.’

The team’s Academic Mentor, Dr. Venkatesha Prasad, also took the chance to get involved, giving a presentation and answering many questions.
